For many years I battled with yo-yo dieting, losing weight and gaining back even more. It was a never ending battle, leaving me devastated and disappointed in myself.

I tried keto, intermittent fasting, carb cycling, diet pills, tracking, and many others. Limiting the food I was eating, then binging out of desperation for more food. This inevitably put me out of a caloric deficit and stuck not losing weight.

And if I ever found success it was short lived. The second I stopped the diet I gained back everything I had lost, and then some.

I knew I had to be in a deficit to lose weight, but what I didn't realize was most diets are too aggressive with their deficit, which lead me to binge eating or giving up on the diet altogether.

That was until I started flexible dieting - eating within a certain amount of calories and macronutrients (carbs, protein, and fat) without limiting the types foods I was eating. This allowed me to still enjoy the foods I love while maintaining a healthy caloric deficit.

I slowly started to lose weight, and without feeling deprived I didn't end up in a weekly binge throwing off my progress.
I found success. I lost weight and kept it off.
